Párbeszéd a cipőboltban
Conversation at a Shoe shop
Mr Thompson: Thank you very much for all your help and patience!
Shop Assistant: You’re welcome, Mr Thompson. It’s always a pleasure to help you. And besides, you are very good customer – it’s not difficult to please you.
Mr Thompson: Oh, that’s really kind. And these shoes are just perfect.
Shop Assistant: I’m glad you like them and hope you’ll take pleasure in them.
Mr Thompson: Thanks a lot.
Shop Assistant: And you know, should you have any problems, you have a 3-months guarantee, but make sure you keep the receipt.
Mr Thompson: Well, I don’t think that’s necessary. I’ve never had any problem with the shoes I bought here. But I’ll keep the receipt.
Shop Assistant: Take care Mr Thompson and see you around!
Mr Thompson: Bye-bye!

Saying Good-bye to a Foreign Customer
Shop Assistant: Anything else?
Australian Customer: No, thank you, that’s all.
Shop Assistant: Then it’s £28.50.
Australian Customer: Is this the right banknote?
Shop Assistant: Yes, but I’ll need three of these.
Australian Customer: Oh, sorry. Here you are.
Shop Assistant: No problem. This is your receipt. If you have any problem, you can contact us on the number at the bottom of the receipt.
Australian Customer: Well, I don’t think I’ll phone you from Australia…
Shop Assistant: Well, I see. Then you can contact the Extreme Outdoor Sports Shop in your hometown, if there’s any.
Australian Customer: There isn’t, but don’t worry. Thanks for your help and bye.
Shop Assistant: Pleasure. Thank you for shopping with us! Enjoy the rest of your stay and have a safe trip back to Australia.

Saying Good-bye After a Phone Inquiry
Manager: And how to you finish the phone conversation?
Customer Service: I ask if there’s anything else I can do for the customer. If he says yes, I try to answer the question or offer him solution for his problem, or direct him to the colleague in charge. If he says no, then I just say good-bye.
Manager: I would like you to ask if the customer is satisfied, offer him further help – so that he feels he can turn to us any time, and say „thank you for calling” before you say good-bye. Could you show it?
Customer Service: Of course. „So, Mr Smith, is there anything else I can do for you? … No? Are you satisfied with everything? … I’m glad to hear that. Should you have any more questions or comments, feel free to phone. We are here at your service 24 hours a day. Thank you for calling. Good-bye!”
