A Wholesaler’s Complaint (2)
Mrs Hubbard: Hello, Essex Gardens, Emma Hubbard Speaking.
Mr Pitt: Good afternoon, Mrs Hubbard, this is George Pitt form Essex Wholesale Grocery Market.
Mrs Hubbard: Can I help you, Mr Pitt?
Mr Pitt: I have a complaint to make. We ordered 2000 lb of potatoes, but only less than half of this amount has arrived.
Mrs Hubbard: Did you get the notice?
Mr Pitt: What kind of notice?
Mrs Hubbard: The one with our apologies for not being able to deliver any more. We included it in the envelope with the delivery note. There is a shortage of potatoes in the West and we were asked to help out that part of the country. That is why we were not able to send the usual amount to you.
Mr Pitt: I see. I’ll check that envelope for your notice. When will the normal balance be restored?
Mrs Hubbard: I cannot tell. It depends a lot on how much it will rain in the West in the following weeks. I do hope the rain does not destroy all the potato crops in the West.
Mr Pitt: I hope so, too. Well, till then we’ll have to manage by the amount we can get. Thank you for the information, anyway.
Mrs Hubbard: You are welcome, Mr Pitt.

A Wholesaler’s Complaint (1)
Mr Gardener: Hello, Rob Gardener, Dudley Ceramics Manufacture.
Mr Fisher: Hello, Mr. Gardener. It’s Stanley Fisher form “KitchenWorld” Wholesale & Retail. I would like to make a complaint about the 10’000 pieces of various painted ceramic mugs we had ordered.
Mr Gardener: Are they the wrong pattern?
Mr Fisher: No, they are exactly the ones we have ordered, however almost half of the supply is broken, maybe as a result of careless wrapping.
Mr Gardener: I am sorry for it. Would you like the price refunded, or would you prefer another supply?
Mr Fisher: Another supply would be better. These mugs are every popular.
Mr Gardener: Could you just make a record of the exact number of damaged items?
Mr Fisher: Sure.
Mr Gardener: I will arrange another supply as soon as I receive your record.
Mr Fisher: I will e-mail it to you in a few hours.
Mr Gardener: Thank you and I apologize for the inconvenience. This time we’ll take a special care at the wrapping.
Mr Fisher: Thank you, Mr Gardener.
