The information desk is the first thing a visitor encounters upon entering a bureau. There is always somebody whom you can ask about opening hours, rules or the working order of the offices. In most cases there is a guard too, who is responsible for the bureau’s security. At the information desk there is a small machine from which you can draw a calling number. This machine is usually equipped with a display which shows the name of the offices so you can choose where you would like to go.
Should you need only one piece of info you may ask it without drawing a calling number. If you don’t like to ask for information in person you can call the bureau and the customer service people or a colleague at hand who will help you.
There are usually brochures on the information counter which visitors can take and read while waiting.
