Seminar: the Constituents of a Company’s Image
Professor McCarthy: Today we’re going to deal with the factors that can create a popular image for a company.
Student: Oh, in my view, this is one of the most interesting parts of business life, because a great part of it is based on psychology.
Professor McCarthy: That’s right. Let’s start with the first point. The main role of communication and PR is to show the world that the company is conscious of public issues, such as environmental protection.
Student: Could you also tell us about the role of advertising?
Professor McCarthy: Yes, that’s a very important point. You know, corporate advertising isn’t only concerned with increasing sales of a particular product, but more with the brand image, or picture, a company wants to present to the public.
Student: I see. Are we also going to deal with activities carried out by the PR Department?
Professor McCarthy: Let’s talk about them tomorrow!
